Insights from Cluster Members: The 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival

This year’s Cannes Yachting Festival saw strong participation from our Cluster members, providing a valuable opportunity to assess the general sentiment surrounding the current state of the yachting industry. As a key event in the annual yachting calendar, the festival offered insights into how this year’s edition compares to previous ones and what it signals about market trends for 2024.

Carlo Torre, Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Temptation (MYT), shared his thoughts : "The overall impression is positive, with activity still strong, but it hasn’t quite reached the levels of 2022 and 2023." While performance varied across different shipyards and brokerage houses, Torre noted a shared sense of cautious optimism. "The outlook remains encouraging, but there's a more measured tone compared to the explosive growth we saw in recent years."

Vikki Daras, Global Head of Marketing at TWW Yachts, highlighted the commercial success they experienced, “Cannes Yachting Festival is hands-down one of the best events on the yachting calendar. It’s a show that we at TWW Yachts place great emphasis on, and we always bring some of the stars from our portfolio of brokerage and charter yachts. The results speak for themselves. It’s also a show where TWW Yachts consistently has strong commercial success. This year was no exception, we received an overwhelming response to the yachts we represented, which included an offer.”

While the event may not have matched the extraordinary activity levels of previous years, it is far from slowing down. The Cannes Yachting Festival marked an important milestone in the industry's ongoing evolution, setting the stage as the focus now shifts toward the highly anticipated Monaco Yacht Show.
