By working with superyacht captains, owner representatives, crew members and engineers, Bioblu aims to implement healthy, environmentally friendly yacht interiors, engineering systems and operating strategies. Their unique approaches focus on energy, water and waste as well as materials, biophilia and wellbeing to reduce a yacht’s impact on the world around it.
There are now a number of eco-yacht certification schemes, each playing an important role in raising sustainability standards in the industry, but mainly focused on engineering systems. Bioblu believes more consideration should be paid to a healthy interior design, sustainable materials and environmentally friendly onboard operations for a complete 360o perspective of a yacht’s impact on people and the planet.
